Swansea University

Swansea University is a research-intensive university on the South Wales coast, offering international students routes into medicine, healthcare and pharmacy. Medical Doorway is an authorised representative and supports eligible applicants throughout the admissions journey.

Founded in 1920, Swansea has developed into a research-intensive university with colleges spanning medicine, engineering, law and management. Its Egypt Centre houses more than 4,000 artefacts associated with the collection of Sir Henry Wellcome and other British museums, while the university is also recognised for its student experience and medical education.

Graduates can apply for the four-year Graduate Entry Medicine programme, while school leavers can consider pathway programmes designed to lead towards graduate-entry medicine. Swansea also offers Pharmacy. Graduates of the relevant UK programmes can apply to the General Medical Council (GMC) or General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC), as appropriate.

The university is known for its beachside campus. Living costs can be lower than in many larger British cities, while Cardiff and other major destinations are accessible by rail.
