Charles University Faculty of Medicine in Hradec Kralove

Charles University’s Faculty of Medicine in Hradec Králové offers Medicine and Dentistry in East Bohemia. Medical Doorway works in partnership with the faculty and supports candidates through its admissions process.

Opened in 1945, the faculty was the first university faculty in East Bohemia and forms part of the much older Charles University. Hradec Králové also has an important place in Czech medical history, particularly in the development of cardiac surgery.

Medicine and Dentistry are delivered in a research-intensive environment with a strong emphasis on practical education. Clinical placements at the nearby University Hospital connect current scientific teaching with direct patient care. Eligible graduates can apply to the General Medical Council (GMC) or General Dental Council (GDC), as appropriate.
